Product Details

Barwon Heads 'Bridge to the Bluff' captures the unique world particular to this coastal town in the Bellarine Victoria. The coastal town is the welcoming committee for the mouth of the Barwon River as it flows inland to Lake Connewarre. Barwon Heads is filled with great dining and pub options and boutique shopping. Since being used as a setting for a 1959 movie (On the Beach), it's picturesque beauty has regularly being used as a drop back for creative venutures, most notable the TV series 'Sea Change'. The most notable feature is the Barwon Heads Bridge linking Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads. The name “Barwon” actually derives from the original owners of the land. In their language; “Barra Warre N Yallok” translates as, “the great river which flows from the uplands (or Otways) to the sea”.
